How solar works on Logan City Light & Power
Logan owns its electric utility, Logan City Light & Power, and is a member of Utah Associated Municipal Power Systems. If your home or business is served by Logan City Light & Power, its solar rules apply instead of Rocky Mountain Power's.
Logan no longer offers net metering. In 2018 the city moved to a Distributed Generation policy: solar energy you don't use on site is bought back at a rate the city updates every July. Check the city's current buyback rate when you compare quotes.
Residential systems on Logan City Light & Power are capped at 10 kW (500 kW for commercial and industrial customers). We design Logan systems to fit within that limit and size them to how much electricity you actually use.
