Solar FAQs
Short, plain-English answers to the questions we hear most, with links to longer guides on benefits, incentives, off-grid, and EV charging.
Incentives and tax credits
Are there tax or other incentives for solar and batteries?
There are federal and state incentives that may apply to commercial installations depending on your situation. A tax professional can confirm eligibility. Residential incentives are going away January of 2026. We'll go over the incentives, rebates and grants that may apply to you as part of your quote.

Costs and pricing
How much do solar panels (a system) cost?
Total cost depends on system size, equipment, roof conditions, and any add-ons like batteries or EV chargers. Start with an Instant Quote for a price range, then we'll adjust it to fit your site.
Lifespan and warranty
How long do solar panels last?
Most panels carry a 25 to 30 year performance warranty and can keep producing well past that with basic care. We choose equipment to suit your site and what you want the system to do.
Roof and mounting
Do solar panels work on my roof type?
We install on asphalt shingle, metal, tile and flat roofs. If your roof isn't a good fit, a ground mount may work better. We'll look at your property and recommend the design that suits it.
Production and weather
How much electricity will my panels generate? What about cloudy days or at night?
Output depends on roof orientation, shading, system size, and local weather. Production is lower on cloudy days and zero at night. With batteries, you can store daytime solar to use after dark or during outages.
Maintenance and monitoring
How do I maintain a solar system?
Maintenance is usually light: an occasional rinse with water and a soft cloth to clear dust or debris. We monitor our installs, reach out if we see a problem, and help you sort it out.
